What would you like to learn about next?

I am committed to writing and producing books, CDs and teleseminars to help you improve your skills at direct farm marketing, and many people have already asked me “What will you talk about in your next book?”

I’ve got a number of topics that I am considering, and I’d like you to help me prioritize these topics. So what would you like to learn next? Please rate each of these ideas by putting a number in the green box from 1 to 7, with 7 being the topic you would most like to learn about:
Building the Farm Team– Learning to hire, train, and motivate employees so that everyone feels like they are part of the team, and everyone is pulling together towards the same goal.

Buying Advertising for the Farm with Confidence – Learn to negotiate and buy advertising on radio, television, newspapers and billboards with the confidence that you are getting a fair price and an effective product. Learn what questions you should ask, and what services you should expect.

What does your customer want? – Most of the time, we are thinking about what we want to sell, but we should be asking our customers what they want to buy. This book would focus what question to ask, simple effective ways to ask your consumers what they want and expect, and various survey techniques to find these answers.

Keeping the Farm Visitor Entertained - The ongoing challenge is to continue to entertain families coming on to our property year after year. This workbook is full of ideas, templates, patterns, and the exact requirements to provide seasonal crafts and fun activities for the families and children visiting our farms.

How to Get a Sponsoring Partner – Attracting sponsors to assist in the marketing of various activities and events on your farm is not just for the big farms. Learn a step-by-step approach to attract companies to not only sponsor something on your farm, but pay you to do so.

Increasing Fall Sales on the Farm- Learn how to maximize the sales in your fall season through retail products, decorations, food concessions, food products, activities and more. This workbook is chock full of specific examples and suggestions.

Bringing the Bus to Us - Attracting classrooms full of school kids to the farm requires more than entertainment. Learn what the large farms are developing in terms of grade specific programs that are both entertaining and educational. Develop seasonal study guides and more good reasons for the schools to send their classrooms to you.

How would you prefer to receive this information? In the past, I’ve published books, produced audio CDs that can run in your CD player or computer, and we’ve had a couple of teleseminars, where you can ask questions during the presentation, or later purchase a CD recording of the seminar. We also are considering online electronic books, that you read on your computer.

Please tell me which would be more useful to you (rate each of these from 1 to 7, with 7 being the format you would mostly likely purchase if you wanted a copy):

Printed Books/manuals

CD Recordings

Cassette Recordings

Live Teleseminars

Online Electronic Book

Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this survey. This is a very busy year, but I plan to make every effort to release the next product before the end of the year, and the results of this survey help me determine how I can be the most help to the farm.
