Obtaining liability insurance is a point of concern for most farms, and hardly a week goes by that I don't get a call or email from someone saying "How can I get liability insurance in my state?"
I've recently talked with two insurance carriers that are writing policies for agritourism farms, so I thought I would pass these on. If you have coverage from other companies, please call or email me so that I can share that information!

Nationwide Agribusiness writes liability on Agritourism operations in conjunction with the Farm Policy in these states:
- Colorado
- Delaware
- Georgia
- Indiana
- Illinois*
- Iowa* (Central Iowa)
- Kansas* (only in the area around Kansas City)
- Maryland
- Michigan*
- Minnesota*(only in the areas near the twin cities)
- Missouri (Mid and south Missouri)
- Nebraska* (only the very western area near Colorado)
- North Carolina
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- South Carolina
- Texas
- Utah * (Only the areas near Salt Lake City)
- Virginia
- West Virginia
* Limited areas in which agents are available
Farm Bureau Financial Services writes agritourism liability under the policy called AgMax in these states:
- Arizona
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Minnesota
- Nebraska
- New Mexico
- South Dakota
- Utah
