Pre-Cruise Tour
Day 1, Friday, January 11 HOMETOWN/HONOLULU
We fly from the mainland to Honolulu where we are met on arrival and assisted to baggage claim. Our Tour Director will direct us to transportation and we will be transferred to our hotel, the beautiful oceanfront Sheraton Waikiki for our first three nights.
Day 2, Saturday, January 12 HONOLULU, OAHU
This morning we visit the Kapiolani Community College Farmer's Market where we browse among a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers, beef, aqua cultured seafood, fresh baked breads, hand made pastas, tropical jams and jellies, unique snack foods, honey, baked goods, specialty seasonings and more.
Next we make a brief stop at Dole Plantation for shopping & exploring on your own. We enjoy a boxed lunch as we travel along the scenic North Shore to Senator Fong's Plantation and Gardens, named for former U.S. Senator Hiram Fong, which offers tours through the plantation's valleys and
plateaus that are filled with tropical fruit, palms, ferns, and fragrant flowers. Here we are treated to a special tour and then have the opportunity to make our own traditional lei.
We return to our hotel, relaxing and getting to know our fellow travelers better at a poolside cocktail reception with traditional "pupus" later this evening. (L)
Day 3, Sunday, January 13 OAHU
Today is free to relax and explore Oahu on your own. You may choose to take part in an optional tour, such as a hike to the summit of Diamond Head Crater, snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, sailing on a Mai'Tai catamaran, or an exhilarating helicopter flight-seeing tour.
Cruise Begins
DAY 4, Monday, January 14 HONOLULU, OAHU
This morning we have a Honolulu city tour, highlighted by a drive through Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific. Following our tour, we transfer to Aloha Tower Pier to board the Pride of Hawaii and acquaint ourselves with the facilities we will enjoy for the next seven days! We have time to settle into our comfortable cabins and unpack for the week before we sail about 8 p.m. (D)
DAY 5, Tuesday, January 15 HILO, HAWAII
We disembark this morning for a visit to Wailea Ag Group, known for their fresh Hearts of Palm, where we see how their innovations changed abandoned cane fields into a thriving exotic orchard and tropical flower garden.
We continue to the Hawaiian Vanilla Company to learn how the unique orchid produces vanilla from the richest soil on earth. This will be our first Farm Stop Classroom, led by owners Jim and Tracy Reddekopp. 
While we enjoy a delicious lunch prepared and served by Tracy and her children, Jim will lead us in discussion of how to market and cater to the group tour business, sharing their marketing insights as one of the most unique agritourism businesses on the islands.
On our way back to the ship, we stop to view Rainbow Falls, which tumble 80 feet down into a natural pool surrounded by wild ginger. We enjoy the evening aboard ship with a Group Dinner at Cagney Steakhouse
and, conditions permitting, sail by active Mount Kilauea to see this volcano's lava tumbling into the sea. (B,L,D)
DAY 6, Wednesday, January 16 KAHULUI, MAUI
Maui is known as the "Valley Island," a place where every gorge is filled with lush foliage and abundant plant life. Today is yours for independent touring or participating in optional shore excursions of your choice. You may choose to visit the Iao Valley and see the famed Iao Valley Needle, a 2,250-foot lava rock that pierces the clouds. Or, visit the Tropical Plantation and take a tram ride through 60 acres of commercial fruit crops including sugarcane, mango, coffee, flowering ginger and more. Afterward, walk through their nursery and visit the agricultural village with its fascinating displays. (B,L,D)
DAY 7, Thursday, January 17 KAHULUI, MAUI
This morning we visit Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm, a 10-acre farm with over 50,000 lavender plants voted our Best Tour Stop in 2007. Take in the fragrance and the panoramic views of Maui as we tour the gardens where lavender grows year-round.
We have lunch here on the patio, and pause for our second Farm Stop Classroom. This session relates to hiring and training the best employees for your business and will be led by Lani Weigert of Ali'i Kula.
We've allowed plenty of time for visiting the studio gift shop to shop for a variety of lavender infused products as well as time to sit and reflect on the natural beauty of this destination. This afternoon we take a scenic drive through the richly colored, rugged landscape to the Iao Valley, a lush valley filled with exotic tropical plants and clear, natural pools, and site of ancient religious festivals.
Aboard ship this evening will be our first Farm Chat Room, an informal conversation sharing ideas and concerns about agritourism. You pick the topics. (B,L,D)
DAY 8, Friday, January 18 KONA, HAWAII
This island is home to countless places that escape comprehension: lava deserts; towering mountains; beaches of white, green and black; and waterfalls careening through vibrant valleys of color.
Today we visit the Hamakua Macadamia Company where nuts and Kona coffee are grown, processed, and packaged. Observe the processing of macadamia nuts and try a free sample. We continue to Kahua Ranch, an 8,500-acre working cattle ranch overlooking the lush pasture lands of the Kohala Mountains and the Pacific coastline.
We'll have time for lunch and our third Farm Stop Classroom, with the Richards family discussing how to incorporate outdoor recreation into the agritourism experience. You'll even have your choice of an ATV ride or Tram Tour of this spectacular ranch. (B,L,D)
DAY 9, Saturday, January 19 NAWILIWILI, KAUAI
For decades, Hollywood has had a love affair with Kauai, and you'll understand why as you discover a land of contrast so diverse it defies belief.
Today is yours-you may choose an optional shore excursion such as a scenic boat drive up the Wailua River, during which you will be entertained with local music, dance, and narrations. Or, take a brief walk to the Fern Grotto, a hauntingly beautiful cave and romantic spot where thousands of couples choose to get married. Or, visit the valley of the Sleeping Giant and take a short walk to Opaekaa's Falls, where the Wailua River makes a dramatic plunge over a high cliff. You'll see places you never dreamed existed. This will be our second evening to meet aboard ship for a Farm Chat Room, an informal conversation sharing ideas and concerns about agritourism. You pick the topics! (B,L,D)
DAY 10, Sunday, January 20 NAWILIWILI, KAUAI
 This morning we travel towards Hanalei Bay on the north shore to visit Guava Kai Plantation, a working plantation that offers you an insight into Hawaii’s diversified agriculture and the beauty of a year-round orchard, where you may sample the tropical refresher, guava juice. We travel along a scenic route back towards Kilohana Plantation, an exquisitely landscaped estate, for a train tour and time for shopping at its stores filled with jewelry, crafts, and clothing.
After our time here, we return to the pier to re-board our ship and enjoy a Group Dinner at the Grand Pacific Restaurant. (B,L,D)
DAY 11, Monday, January 21 HONOLULU/MAINLAND
We arrive back in the port of Honolulu this morning. After we disembark we begin our Pearl Harbor tour, where we can browse through historic displays at the Arizona Memorial Visitor Center. We watch a film of the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack and then board a Navy launch for a trip to the USS Arizona Memorial. Following our tour, we are transferred to the Honolulu Airport for our return flight to the mainland with connection on to our hometown. (B)
DAY 12, Tuesday, January 22 MAINLAND/HOMETOWN
Arriving on the mainland early this morning, we connect on our flight back to our hometown.
The sequence of touring and days may be altered to adjust to cruise schedule, special closings of sites, final air schedules, services available at venues, etc.

AIR ARRANGEMENTS: Airfare is not included in the above prices. Book your air reservation early in order to secure an early evening return flight to the mainland on Day 11. Booking through Dehoney Travel you can take advantage of zone fares on Northwest Airlines. Sample fares to Honolulu roundtrip from Phoenix & Seattle, $459; Pittsburgh & Indianapolis, $563; Vancouver, $599; St. Louis, Detroit, Denver, & Boston $669; Minneapolis & Cincinnati, $714; Memphis & Toronto, $799; Charlottesville, VA $890. The sample fares are based on a discounted booking class and cannot be guaranteed until an air reservation is made.
Once a reservation is made the ticket must be issued within 10 days. Air tickets are non-refundable once purchased. If at the time of making a reservation a lower air fare on Northwest is available, you will enjoy a 10% discount on some fares. A published fare ticket must be issued within 24 hours of making the air reservation.
