Websites Really Do Mean More Business!

94% of people with internet access use it to plan their vacations, conferences, business trips, and getaways," according to tourism gerus, Roger Brooks and Maury Forman. "And 68% of all households have access to the internet!"

To compete for tourism business, you must have an attractive website, and it must do the right things:

  • Answer your visitors' questions. They want to know: "What is there to do on your farm?", "How do I get there?", "When are you open?" and "What's going on this month?"
  • Keep it short. Clear, concise content is the most effective.
  • Use lots of photos. Show the experience! Let them see the fun things to do.
  • Keep it fresh. Tell them what's happening this month.
  • Have your website done by a professional. Design and marketing experience is much more valuable than whether they live nearby.

I hope these pointers, from Brooks and Forman's book, The 25 Immutable Rules of Successful Tourism, help you keep your website working for you.

If you don't have a website, please consider Eckert AgriMarketing's FarmWebDesign. As a national speaker and agritourism consultant, I have talked with thousands of farmers, and have provided marketing consultation to several hundred farms throughout North America. I know what works.

Those of you who have attended my presentations know that I've always insisted that an agritourism farm absolutely must have a website. But I was frustrated to see farms were either paying too much, or they were getting amateur workmanship. That's when I decided to start FarmWebDesign as a part of my agrimarketing business.

You'll see our difference in both the quality, and the price, at Eckert AgriMarketing's FarmWebDesign.
