I know it's easy to get bogged down - so many
things to do - but I urge you not to put your
website
on the back burner.
Imagine what it says to your customers when they
check your website to see if the corn is ready, and
your website still says "We are closed for the
winter."
If you update your website yourself, do it!
If you have a web designer provide your updates,
keep him or her informed!
If you are not getting good service or you are still
not happy with the look of your website, then I urge
you to call 314-862-6288, or email me at
Jane@eckertagrimarketing.com. Our job is
making your
website
updates "pain free" for you, and effective for your
customers.
Let us do your website - so you can keep harvesting
and selling.
Fall Season is coming soon,
and
literally thousands of people will use the Internet to
choose what maze, what pumpkin patch, or what
apple farm to visit! If your not there, they may not
be heading your way this fall! Call 314-862-6288 now. |
August 2006
The Fall Season is fast approaching. For those of us
in the agritourism business, we know that this can be
the largest revenue season of the year. Just ask
those folks who are only open for October and corn
mazes.
It's something about the fall weather, back to
school and the starting of the gridiron that seems to
attract people to our farms that may not come out
any other time of year.
You can maximize the revenue from the fall
season
in a number of ways:
Product variety- Pumpkins, painted
pumpkins, gourds, squash, mums, Indian corn, etc.
Fall food specialties- Donuts, cider, funnel
cakes, kettle corn, brats, and apples are all “fall on
the farm” favorites
Fall activities- count the fun! Wagon rides,
bonfires,
pony rides, mazes, and pig races are major fun, and
participation games include contests, puppet making,
pumpkin sling, costume contests, and much more.
If you are still looking for fall suppliers of products,
you might want to check out our Buyer's Guide
Do you know that it takes five times the
investment in dollars and effort to gain a new
customer,
compared to the cost of keeping a loyal customer?
That's right, if it costs you $2 to keep a
return
customer happy, it's going to cost you $10 to
replace him with someone new. So it just makes
good sense to keep your regular customers coming
back.
So
how do you do that? You find out why they
visit
your farm or ranch. Find out what they like to do.
What they like to eat. What they want to see. And
what they think you should add next year.
So how do you find out all that? You ask them, of
course.
But sometimes, there's no time to fire a
bunch of questions while you have a nice long line
at the cash register. So we would suggest that you
invite you guests to log on to a quick Internet
survey
when they get home that evening-and in exchange,
you'll provide them a coupon for their next visit.
Eckert AgriMarketing will write and host your
survey,
link it to your website if you'd like, and analyze the
data for you or set up your account so you access
all the data yourself. It's also a great way to gain
new email addresses for your database.
If you are interested in providing your customers
with
this valuable tool to let you know what they
want
from their next visit, call 314-862-6288, or
drop me
an email at
jane@eckertagrimarketing.com. Thanks
