Patrons to Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch will receive “Shuck’s Bucks” for the rest of September, with the value of the cash incentive based on the number of miles a family drives to visit the maze. The farther the drive, the more bucks that go back to the driver as a reward for making the effort to do something fun.
Uncle Shucks Pumpkin Patch Offers Gas Rebates
The Shucks Bucks are the concept of Mike Pinzl, who sent a release out to 1,500 media contacts in the Atlanta metro area. He reports that business had been down for all maze owners over 20% this year in Atlanta, and that malls and shopping centers were also reporting record drops after Hurricane Katrina and high gas prices in Atlanta. Mike asked me to share this with everyone as an idea you might want to try in your area. The rebate is in the form of paper money that is then used on the farm.
What a great promotional idea to not only get media attention, but also, hopefully, pull in more customers and save his season.
